Under five minute bedtime gardening story for preschoolers.
In a hidden corner of Firefly Farm, where a towering oak tree stood silently and a giggling brook meandered, there was a garden unlike any other. This was where young Jasmine, a girl full of curiosity, learned from her Grandma Ruth about healing flowers and plants that could comfort her.
Jasmine had come for a short visit but soon wished to stay forever in this beautiful place. Entering the garden, she was wrapped in the soft hum of bees. Flowers nodded in the sunshine, and yummy smells filled the air. With dirt on her hands and a friendly smile, Grandma Ruth said, “Welcome to our garden,” beckoning Jasmine closer.

Grandma Ruth handed Jasmine a soft, fuzzy mint leaf. “Squish it and sniff,” she guided. Jasmine giggled as a zippy, fresh smell tickled her nose! They also found gentle lavender flowers. “These are like cozy bedtime hugs,” Grandma Ruth explained, and Jasmine kept some in her pocket.
The garden was a storybook without pages. They talked to the happy calendula, the sage that smelled like the forest, the playful lavender, the mint that covered the paths, and the soothing aloe. Jasmine learned that by caring for these plants, she also cared for herself.

The garden wasn’t just about learning; it was about being with Grandma Ruth. They felt as close as the flowers and the butterflies. “You are growing tall and strong,” Grandma Ruth said one day, “just like the plants in our garden.”
Jasmine loved sitting in the garden under the giant moon. It felt like the whole world was holding its breath. As summer whispered its goodbyes, Grandma Ruth handed Jasmine a precious bag of seeds. “These are for you,” she said, planting a dream in Jasmine’s heart.

Jasmine held the seeds in her hand. She felt like a grown-up, ready to help her grandma make the garden even more beautiful.
