A short poem story for preschoolers.
Silver Rooster, oh so bright, His feathers shone in morning light. He strutted 'round the farm all day, And crowed so loud, as if to say: "I'm the boss of Firefly Farm! My beauty's great, I mean no harm." But Silver pushed and Silver shoved, The animals were not amused.
Old Betty Hen said, "Please be kind." But Silver didn't seem to mind. He thought his looks made him the best, Until Max Horse came as a guest.
Max was big and Max was strong, But gentle too, and got along. The animals all liked him more, Which made our Silver pretty sore.
One night a storm blew Silver down, He got all wet and wore a frown. But Max said, "Come and stay with me," And showed him what true friends could be.
Next day, Silver understood, Being kind feels really good. He said, "I'm sorry," loud and clear, And promised to be nice from here.
Now Silver helps and shares with all, His heart grew big, no longer small. On Firefly Farm, they live in peace, Where kindness and respect increase.
