Night time poems for preschoolers.
In mountains high, where mist does swirl,
Lived Maggie, a brave and curious girl.
Her home, a lodge upon the peak,
Where hikers came to rest and seek.
Maggie loved the mountains so,
And every creature high and low.
But most of all, she loved the day
When llamas came to help and play.

Churro was her llama friend,
With fuzzy fur from end to end.
His eyes were sweet, his ears so long,
Together they'd go where they belong!
One sunny day, young Maggie said,
"Let's go, Churro! Adventure's ahead!"
She packed some snacks and water too,
And off they went, just those two.

Down the trail they slowly went,
Maggie on a mission bent.
To fetch supplies for lodge so dear,
With Churro by her side to cheer.
They reached the bottom safe and sound,
And loaded packs from off the ground.
Churro stood so brave and tall,
Ready to carry it all.
Up the mountain path they climbed,
Maggie's heart with joy so chimed.
Churro's steps were sure and true,
Through forest green with skies so blue.

At last they reached the lodge once more,
Maggie's dad stood at the door.
"Look who's back, safe and sound!
My dear girl and her llama, homeward bound!"
He hugged them both with all his might,
So proud of Maggie's helpful flight.
"You've shown such care for our home here,
We'll keep this lodge, forever, dear."

So if you visit mountains high,
And see a llama trotting by,
Remember Maggie's tale so bold,
Of friendship and adventures told.
