Henry the collie, so playful and bright, Watched as his family packed up for their flight. "Don't worry," they said with a pat on his head, "Camp Bow-Wow's waiting!" And off they all sped.
A blue van arrived with a woof on the side, Henry hopped in for his own special ride. To Camp Bow-Wow where dogs love to play, New friends to meet on this wonderful day.
Taylor the owner gave Henry a tour, Of fields and pools and so much more. Benny the beagle and Luna so gold, Joined in the fun as new friendships unfold.
They ran and they swam and played fetch with glee, Henry was happy as happy could be. One afternoon by the pool's sunny edge, A squirrel appeared on a high wooden ledge.
Henry leapt up with a splash and a bound, The startled squirrel tumbled down to the ground. Right in the pool where it couldn't swim well, Henry dove in like a brave rescue swell.
He pushed the wet squirrel to safety with care, All the camp cheered for the hero dog there. The squirrel scampered off with a flick of its tail, Henry stood proud, it was quite a tale!
Next came the contest of dock diving skill, Henry was nervous, but faced it with will. He ran down the dock with his ears flying free, And jumped so far, he surprised all to see!
He splashed near the shore on the far side with pride, Then paddled back as the camp cheered and cried. A new record set by this collie so bold, Even Benny agreed it was something to hold.
As camp days flew by filled with joy and with fun, Henry learned tricks and played games in the sun. But soon it was time for his family's return, He'd miss all his friends, that he'd surely learn.
Back at the farm, Henry rushed to the gate, Muddy and happy, he just couldn't wait. He jumped and he licked and he barked with delight, So glad to be home after his camp-time flight.
Henry had found a new place full of joy, Where he could be a true camp-loving boy. But nothing could beat coming home at the end, To the family he loved, his forever best friends.
