In a valley, green and bright,
Lived a hundred sheep, fluffy and white.
His friends all grazed, happy and near,
But Scout felt different, his path unclear.
Shepherd Sam loved them all,
But Scout felt a pull, another call.
"What makes me different?" Scout would say,
Then trotted off one sunny day.
Mountains called, with whispers low,
"Come and explore, where secrets grow!"
Flowers bloomed and birds did sing,
Adventure felt like a happy thing!
But soon the light began to fade,
And Scout felt lost, and then afraid.
He missed his friends, his cozy bed,
"Oh dear," he sighed, with drooping head.
Sam counted his sheep, one by one,
And realized Scout was really gone.
With staff in hand and courage true,
Sam searched for Scout, the whole night through.
Scout, curled up beneath a bush,
Missed his home and Sam's soft hush.
But he learned something on this day,
About his brave heart, come what may.
Scout heard a voice, a joyful sound,
Sam had come, and he was found!
A hug so warm, a happy tear,
Scout knew he had no need to fear.
"Scout!" called Sam, with love so deep,
He hugged his little lost sheep.
Back in the meadow, safe and sound,
Scout's brave tale, shared all around.
Sam gathered the flock, and said with a smile,
"Each of you is special, with your own style.
Like pieces of a puzzle, you fit just right,
Together, we make a beautiful sight."
Scout felt proud, like he should.
He was part of the flock, and understood.
The sheep all nodded, wise and true,
Each had a place, like me and you.
Under a sky of firefly light,
The sheep slept soundly through the night.
Scout, once lost, now felt found,
His mind content, his heart unbound.
