A five minute dragon story for preschoolers.
Once upon a time, there was a king with three little princes: Rowan, Jasper, and baby Linden. They loved to play in the big, shiny pond in their castle’s backyard!
High up in the fluffy clouds, a young dragon named Drake was learning to fly. It wasn’t going too well. Drake was a bit clumsy, and his wings were still tiny.

One day, Drake landed with a gigantic splash right in the castle pond! The princes were scared. “Eeek!” they said and ran to tell their daddy, the king.

The king sent his bravest guards. Drake was tangled in a pile of toy boats, looking confused. He was hiccuping and little puffs of smoke. They dragged Drake to the castle. He tripped over his tail the whole way.
The king decided Drake must be banished!
Just as they were about to throw Drake in the river, he flapped his wings – FWOOP FWOOP FWOOP! Up he flew, high in the sky!
Drake just wanted to go home, which surprised the princes. They learned that sometimes, things that look different and scary may just be a little bit clumsy and lost.
From that day on, whenever they played in their pond, they always looked for their new dragon friend, hoping he might come back for another splashy play date!
