A story of friendship and sharing.
Under five minute story for preschoolers.
Once upon a time, there was a kind princess who loved flowers. Her favorite place was her father’s big garden, with lots of colorful blooms!
Silvio was the gardener. He was a boy who knew all about flowers. He could make them grow big and strong. The princess and Silvio were best friends.
Thistle was a tiny fairy who lived in the forest. She loved the garden too. Her wings were shiny, and she always told funny stories. The princess and Silvio loved playing with Thistle.
One day, the princess and Silvio started spending lots of time together. They didn’t play with Thistle as much. Thistle got a little sad and jealous.
Then Silvio disappeared! The princess looked everywhere but couldn’t find him. She saw a beautiful apple tree and sat by it to cry. An apple fell in her lap, like a hug from the tree.
When she peeled the apple, the peel made shapes – a heart, a leaf, and the letter “S” for Silvio. It was magic! She even saw a little star for Thistle.

Every day, a new apple made a new shape. The princess missed her friends. “Apple tree, apple tree,” she cried, “please bring them back!”
Suddenly, Silvio was there! And a sparkly light turned into Thistle!
The princess asked Thistle if she was sad. Thistle felt ashamed and said yes. She used her magic to hide Silvio because she was jealous.
The princess held Thistle’s hand, “Being friends means you can like more than one person. There’s enough love for everyone.”
Thistle learned that friendship is like a garden – when you share it, it gets even prettier! Now, the princess, the gardener, and the fairy were the very best of friends.
