When a package arrives from Tatik in Armenia, twins Garik and Maral find more than a book inside—they discover an ancient practice that helps big feelings feel smaller. Through cloudwatching and heartlistening, they learn what their grandmother knew all along: the gentlest wisdom lives in the spaces between breaths, where a quiet place waits to hold them, always.
Garik and Maral were twins. That means they were born on the same day!
One day, a package came in the mail.
“It’s from Grandma and Grandpa!” said Mama.
Inside was a wooden box with swirly lines. Garik and Maral opened it slowly.
Inside was a book from Grandma. Her name is Tatik. That’s what they say for Grandma in Armenia!
Tatik’s book had sweet words.
“Sometimes,” Tatik wrote, “feelings come like big clouds. You don’t have to chase them. Just sit still and watch.”
Garik liked that. He looked at the sky. “I see a cloud like a bear!”

The next day, Garik felt scared to ride his big bike. He remembered the cloud.
He sat still. He took a breath. “It’s just a cloud,” he whispered. Then he tried his bike. Pedal, pedal!
Maral got mad when her friend didn’t share toys. She stopped. She breathed. “It’s just a cloud,” she whispered. Then she asked kindly, “Can we take turns?”
Every night, Mama read more of Tatik’s book. It felt soft and warm.
“There’s a quiet place inside you,” Tatik had written. “Like a gentle hug from your heart. It’s always there.”
Garik and Maral closed their eyes. They felt a gentle hug from their hearts. Garik’s felt like a soft blanket. Maral’s sparkled like twinkly lights.
They drew pictures for Tatik—clouds, glowing hearts, and soft warm hugs.
On the phone, Tatik smiled. “Yes, my little loves,” she said. “Your quiet place is always with you.”
That night, tucked in bed, Garik and Maral breathed slowly. One… two… three…
And they floated into dreams on soft white clouds.

The End.
