Every morning, a little fox named Ferdi wakes to the sound of a bell—and something warm dances in his tummy. He asks his friends what the bell means, but each answer feels close, not quite right. Then Grandma Cat shares a secret. A soothing bedtime fox story for toddlers about trusting feelings, asking questions, and discovering that the best truths live quietly in the heart.
Every morning, Ferdi the little fox woke up with the sun .
He had orange fur and a fluffy tail, and he loved to listen.
DING! DONG! DING!
The big bell sang its morning song.
When Ferdi heard it, something happy danced in his tummy – he felt warm and happy inside.
One day, Ferdi wanted to know why the bell made him happy.
First, he asked Owl.

“Hoot! The bell means wake up time!” said Owl, flapping her wings.
Ferdi wagged his tail. That sounded nice, but it wasn’t quite right.
Next, he asked Badger the baker.
“It means bread is ready!” Badger smiled. “Come get warm rolls!”
That made Ferdi’s tummy rumble, but it still wasn’t the whole answer.
Then Ferdi found Cricket singing in the grass.
Chirp chirp! “The bell is just music, Ferdi! Pretty sounds that make us happy!”
Ferdi danced a little fox dance, but he still wondered…
Finally, Ferdi asked Grandma Cat.
“What does the bell really mean?”
Grandma Cat purred softly.

“Sweet Ferdi, the bell means whatever you feel inside when you hear it.”
Ferdi listened to the bell again. “Ding, dong, ding.”
He felt cozy and happy all the way to his toes.
Now Ferdi knew the bell didn’t need words. Sometimes the most wonderful things can’t be explained – they can only be felt with our hearts.
