From our collection of modernized fairy tales for preschoolers.
Rosy the fairy, tiny like a bee, flew far away to a place called Echo Hollow. It was a secret place with tall trees and a singing stream. She met six children there, who lived in a little wooden house with their mama and papa.

The children showed Rosy the pretty flowers they picked, like white stars and purple smiles. They told her about playing in the woods and swimming in the creek.

Rosy liked the children. She wanted to give them a special present, so she gave them a shiny seed. She said, “Plant this seed, take good care of it, and something wonderful will happen!”
The children planted the seed and watered it every day. Soon, a vine grew up the side of their house, with the most beautiful flowers they had ever seen. The flowers smelled sweet and made everyone happy.

Rosy flew away, but the flowers stayed, reminding the children of the magic she brought to Echo Hollow.
