Under five minute doggy bedtime story for preschoolers

Once upon a time, a family went camping in the woods. Mom, Dad, a little girl named Ava, a little boy named Ben, and a big, friendly dog named Ziggy.

When they reached the campsite, Ava and Ben jumped out of the car. They were so excited! Ziggy barked happily and wagged his tail.

As the family set up their tent, a curious raccoon peeked out from behind a bush. It watched Ziggy with bright, shiny eyes.

Ziggy saw the raccoon and let out a big “Woof!” The raccoon ran away, but it didn’t go far. It wanted to play with Ziggy!

The raccoon tried to steal Ziggy’s snacks. Ziggy chased the raccoon around the campsite. Ava and Ben laughed and clapped their hands.

Later, the raccoon left shiny pebbles and a bottle cap near Ziggy’s water bowl. It wanted to be friends with Ziggy!

At lunchtime, the raccoon tried to steal food from the family’s picnic. Ziggy chased it away again, but the raccoon was very clever. It knocked over a backpack to distract Ziggy and stole a piece of apple!

As the sun went down, the family sat around a warm campfire. The raccoon came back, and this time, it tried to act like Ziggy. It wagged its tail and copied Ziggy’s moves.

Ziggy was surprised, but he didn’t growl at the raccoon anymore. Maybe they could be friends after all!

When it was time for bed, Ava and Ben snuggled in their sleeping bags. Ziggy curled up, too. They said goodnight to everything around them.

“Goodnight, stars. Goodnight, moon. Goodnight, Ziggy. Goodnight, Raccoon.” they whispered.

The family fell asleep, happy and cozy in their tent. Ziggy and the raccoon learned that even though they were different, they could still be friends.

Goodnight everyone
