A tale retold from the Aesop fables stories.

Percy the porcupine was a prickly, pokey fellow!

You see, he was covered in sharp, very sharp quills.

He wanted a cozy home, but no one wanted to snuggle close.

One day, Percy went to a family of snakes and asked,

“Can I stay in your cozy cave?”

The kind snakes said, “Yes, come in!”

But at night, when everyone went to sleep,

Percy sleeps with the snakes in our tale from the Aesop fables stories

Percy started to wiggle and jiggle.

His prickly quills poked the snakes!

“Ouch!” “Oof!” ”Ouchie!”

The snakes said, “Percy, please be careful with your quills.”

“Sorry, but this is how I sleep!” he said.

He tried to be careful, but those quills were just too spiky.

Finally, the snakes said, “Percy, we’re sorry, but can you please find another place to stay?”

Percy said, “I like it here. I’m comfy as can be!

So, the sad snakes slithered away to find a new home.

Sometimes, no matter how cozy a place is, it’s no fun if you chase everyone away!

After the snakes leave, Percy has the cave to himself
