High within the fluffy clouds, a kind lady creates sparkling friends to keep the forest company. This sweet children’s fairy story invites little ones to listen closely to the whispering trees and find new pals in nature.
Once upon a time, up in the fluffy clouds, lived a kind lady named Holda. She had pretty silver hair that sparkled. Holda loved the big trees in the forest.
Holda could do magic! She could even turn into a tree herself!
One day, the trees whispered to Holda. “We wish we had friends who could walk and talk!”
Holda smiled. “I will help you, dear trees.”
From the Ash tree branches, Holda made little Elves. They were brave and quick.
From the Oak tree branches, Holda made tiny Fairies with sparkly wings. They were kind and helpful.

Holda picked one special Elf named Ask and one special Fairy named Embla.
“Come with me,” said Holda. “I will show you magical things!”
Holda showed them shiny crystals. The purple ones hummed a soft lullaby to bring sweet dreams.
“Now I will show you the helpers in nature,” said Holda.
“Gnomes rest in the cozy earth,” she said. “Sylphs float on the wind like a gentle sigh. And Undines ripple in the water, peaceful and calm.”
Ask and Embla loved their tree friends. But they also wanted to make friends with children who came to the forest.
“Can we talk to human children?” they asked Holda.
“Yes,” said Holda. She waved her magic hands. “Now you can talk to kind children who visit the forest.”
Now the Elves and Fairies can be friends with boys and girls who visit the trees. They share stories and play games together.
So when you go to the forest, listen carefully. You might hear an Elf or a Fairy ready to be your friend!
